Blue Sky Vineyard exquisite wines, when shared with a, loved one or friends create memories worthy of Blue Sky days. We are a world-class winery modeled after a Tuscan Villa and located in the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest. Anchoring the eastern side of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, our winery offers, “The Romance of Italy in the Hills of Southern Illinois.”
During your visit, enjoy award-winning Illinois wines, classic Tuscan style and breathtaking views of the forest. Fashioned after Tuscan-style décor with hand-hewn beams, stucco walls, Portuguese tiles and beautifully carved entry doors. We know you will enjoy the elegance of the winery while savoring a glass of our hand-crafted wine. Hungry? How about a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. We have a great menu of items just perfect with one of our wines. No matter how you slice it Blue Sky Vineyard is a must visit along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail in Makanda.
Two suites are available year-round to make your visit an even more pleasurable experience. Our Tuscan Sun event facility and gazebo are perfect for your next special occasion. Enjoy a glass of estate grown wine overlooking the vineyard from our patio. Listen to the rushing sounds of water tumbling down our 40-foot waterfall. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the best of Southern Illinois.
