Keller’s Crossing at Stone Creek
Keller’s Crossing at Stone Creek, Southern Illinois’s premier golf course located in Makanda is better than ever.
When the new owners of the former Stone Creek Golf and Resort teed off on what is now, Keller’s Crossing at Stone Creek for the first time they knew that there was something special about this golf course.
Owing to the fact this is a golf course covering 235 acres, when most courses cover 150. It was because of unique layout following the naturally undulating landscape of Southern Illinois. Finally, this was once the location of local and state golf championship tournaments attracting players and families of all ages. Though they knew they were going to have to make some big changes, the inspiration led to what is now a professionally renovated golf course.
Located in quiet beautiful Southern Illinois, Keller’s Crossing at Stone Creek is a golf course unlike any other. With a spacious layout this is a facility that will beg a golfer to utilize every club in the bag. Our reasonable pricing and friendly staff will force a guest to wonder why they did not come sooner.
Established in 2016.
Originally opened in 2000 as the premier golf challenge in all of Southernmost Illinois. When the current owners took over in the winter of 2015, the golf course told a different story. Completely unplayable, the course underwent a $750,000 renovation in the Spring of 2016. Renovations included redesigning of every green surface, every green side bunker, new surrounds, and tee boxes.
The work continues with fairway bunkers and weed mitigation bringing this course back to the grandeur it once was. This course has risen, against all odds, to a condition worthy of even the best players.
Kudos to Tim & Jason for the hard work they have done and continue to do. Need a place to stay.
